Who we work with

Adults therapy for people used to carrying a lot

We work with adults who are managing pressure, responsibility, and the demand to keep functioning. Our work can make room for what is getting heavy, even when you are used to handling things on your own.

What people bring us

Adults often come in when they are tired of holding so much alone. They may be juggling work, family, identity, and the private strain of trying to keep up. Many have spent years being the dependable one and are not used to asking for support. The work can include feeling scattered, shut down, overwhelmed, or simply not like yourself. We make room for the full complexity of adult life without pretending it is simple.

  • I am the one everyone depends on.
  • I keep it together until I cannot.
  • I do not know how to slow down anymore.
  • I have been handling this by myself for too long.

How we work with it

We work with adults in a way that is direct, steady, and attentive to the realities of adult responsibility. Cognitive strategies can help us make sense of thought patterns that keep pressure high, and somatic tools can help with what shows up in the body. The work may focus on career strain, family expectations, self-criticism, or the way a person has learned to survive by staying busy. We tailor the conversation to the pressures that matter most to the person in front of us.

Cognitive Strategies
We look at the thinking habits that keep adults locked into over-responsibility or self-pressure. This helps bring more clarity to patterns that may have become automatic.
Somatic Tools
We also pay attention to how adult stress shows up physically, especially when someone has been pushing through for a long time. That keeps the work connected to the body, not only the story.

What the first sessions look like

The first sessions are about what life looks like for you now and what feels hardest to carry. We ask about the pressures, habits, and relationships that shape your day so we can decide where to begin. You do not need to arrive with a polished story or a list of goals.

We offer a free 15-minute consultation. We respond to inquiries as soon as we can, usually within 1-2 business days.

We work with the version of you that keeps everything moving.

Questions people ask

Do you work with therapy for driven adults?

Yes. Many adults come in because they are used to pushing themselves hard and want a place to speak honestly about that pressure.

I am an adult but I do not know what I need yet. Is that okay?

Yes. You do not need to have it all sorted out before starting.

Can adults talk about family stuff here too?

Absolutely. Family pressure, roles, and old habits often matter a great deal in adult therapy.

Is this only for people with one big problem?

No. Adults often come in with a whole mix of stress, responsibility, and uncertainty that needs room to be heard.
