Anxiety therapy for adults who carry too much
If your mind keeps scanning for what could go wrong, we offer a steady place to slow it down. We can look at what feels loud, what keeps repeating, and what gets in the way of rest.

What people bring us
People often come in feeling keyed up, distracted, or worn out by their own thoughts. Sleep, concentration, and simple decisions can start to feel harder than they should. Some are managing a lot on the outside while feeling braced on the inside. Others are tired of waiting for their body to relax. The work often begins with figuring out what keeps the alarm switched on.
- I keep replaying the worst-case version of everything.
- My body feels tense even when nothing is happening.
- I cannot turn my mind off at night.
- I seem fine to everyone else, but I am not fine inside.
We make room for the fear and the facts at the same time.
How we work with it
We listen for the patterns between thoughts, body tension, and the situations that keep setting things off. We can use cognitive strategies to notice the story your mind is telling, and somatic tools to pay attention to how anxiety lives in the body. We stay with what feels most active for you rather than forcing the work into a fixed formula. For some people, the conversation is about pressure and overthinking; for others, it is about feeling flooded, shut down, or always on guard.
- Cognitive Strategies
- We look at the thoughts that speed up worry and the habits that keep them looping. In session, that can mean slowing things down enough to notice what your mind is predicting and how you answer it.
- Somatic Tools
- We pay attention to what anxiety feels like in the body, not just in the head. That may include noticing breath, muscle tension, or the urge to stay alert all the time.
What the first sessions look like
Our first conversations are about what anxiety looks like in your daily life and when it shows up most. We also ask about what helps even a little, what makes it worse, and what you want us to understand about your experience. You do not need to arrive with the right words or a clear explanation.
We offer a free 15-minute consultation. We respond to inquiries as soon as we can, usually within 1-2 business days.
Questions people ask
Why do I feel anxious even when nothing is wrong?
Anxiety can keep running after the moment has passed. In therapy, we help you look at the patterns that keep your system braced so the feeling is easier to understand.
What does anxiety help actually look like with you?
It starts with understanding how worry shows up in your day and in your body. From there, we work with the thoughts, reactions, and pressure that keep it going.
Do I need to know what is causing this before I start?
No. Many people come in because they know something feels off, even if they cannot explain it well yet.
Can we talk about the body side of anxiety too?
Yes. We pay attention to how anxiety lives physically, because that is often part of what makes it so hard to shake.
