Integrative Therapy for whole-life pressure online in California
We use an integrative approach when what you’re carrying doesn’t fit neatly into one box. That lets us work with anxiety, grief, relational trauma, and the pressures that come from family, culture, and work at the same time.
How we use it
Omar Anthony Bocobo, LCSW
Integrative work lets us use different approaches when the situation calls for them. We may lean on cognitive strategies for looping thoughts, somatic tools for body tension, or attachment work when old relationship patterns are part of the strain. That can look different for one person than for a couple or family system, because the pressure may live in different places. We keep adjusting to what’s actually showing up rather than forcing one method onto everything.
We work with the whole pattern, not just one piece of it.
Who it tends to suit
People often come in with more than one thing going on. They may be feeling anxious, worn down, grieving, or weighed by family expectations and old survival habits. Some are trying to function well while their body stays braced and their mind doesn’t settle. Others want to understand how career, culture, and relationships are all pressing on the same sore spot. We look at how those parts connect instead of treating them like separate problems.
- I’m carrying too much from too many directions.
- I keep functioning, but I feel worn down.
- I can’t tell what is mine and what I picked up from my family.
- I’m grieving things I never had words for.
What the first sessions look like
The first sessions are about understanding the full picture, including the loudest problem and what sits around it. We talk about what’s happening now, what’s been carrying over for a long time, and what kind of support would be most useful to start with. It’s okay if it still feels unsorted when we meet.
We offer a free 15-minute consultation. We respond to inquiries as soon as we can, usually within 1-2 business days.

Questions people ask
What does integrative therapy mean in practice?
It means we don’t force everything into one method if your situation calls for more than that. We choose from the approaches we use based on what’s showing up for you.
Is integrative therapy right if I have anxiety and grief at the same time?
It can be a good fit when more than one concern is active at once. We can work with the tension between them instead of pretending they’re separate.
Do you use the same approach with everyone?
No. The work changes depending on whether someone is dealing mainly with stress, family pressure, grief, or relationship patterns. We keep the focus on what’s actually happening in your life.
Can integrative therapy help with immigration stress?
Yes, especially when identity, belonging, family expectations, and pressure to keep going are tangled together. We pay attention to the context around the stress as well as the stress itself.
