What people bring us
People often come in when the effort of keeping everything together starts to feel too heavy. They may be carrying worry about family expectations, belonging, or what other people need from them. Some are living with stress that shows up in the body before they can explain it in words. Others feel torn between roles and unsure where they get to put themselves. It can feel lonely to keep handling so much without much room to be held.
- I feel like I have to be strong all the time.
- I do not know where I fit anymore.
- My body stays tense before I even know why.
- I am tired of translating myself for everyone.
Getting started from there
In the first conversations, we listen for what you are carrying and what makes it hard to rest or speak freely. We look at the pressures around you, the ways you have had to adapt, and what you want understood before anything else.
We offer a free 15-minute consultation. We respond to inquiries as soon as we can, usually within 1-2 business days.
Questions people ask
Do you work with immigration stress in therapy?
Yes, we work with people carrying the pressure that can come with immigration, family expectations, and belonging. We can talk about how that stress is showing up in daily life and in your body.
Can virtual psychotherapy help if my stress feels tied to family and culture?
It can give us room to talk about those layers without having to compress them. We can look at what is being asked of you and what that does to your nervous system and your choices.
What if I am not used to talking about myself?
That is okay, and we can start wherever you feel most able to begin. We will help you put words to what has been hard to hold alone.
Do you see adults who are carrying a lot but never ask for help?
Yes, and that pattern makes sense to us. We can work with the part of you that has been managing everything and the part that is tired of doing it alone.
